Terms of Use

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Alpha Retire. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference and explains how we handle personal information.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service. You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We may update these Terms as the Service, our practices, or applicable requirements change. When a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or by another appropriate method. The revised Terms will state their effective date.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.

Our Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you. Do not provide information you are not authorized to provide.

Alpha Retire is not designed for unnecessary sensitive identifiers. Do not enter Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, bank or brokerage credentials, full account numbers, payment-card numbers, copies of government identification, or similar secrets into planning fields or support messages.

Alpha Retire provides educational retirement-planning tools. The Service uses information and assumptions supplied by you, together with models and reference data, to produce estimates, projections, scenarios, reports, and other planning outputs.

Alpha Retire is not a financial institution, bank, broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, insurer, accounting firm, tax adviser, or law firm. The Service does not provide investment, financial, tax, accounting, insurance, or legal advice. Nothing in the Service is an offer, solicitation, endorsement, or recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment or to follow any strategy.

Outputs are estimates, not promises or guarantees. Actual investment returns, inflation, taxes, laws, expenses, longevity, account values, benefits, and other outcomes may differ materially. You are responsible for reviewing inputs and assumptions and for decisions you make. Consider consulting qualified professionals before acting on an output.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep it updated. You may not impersonate another person, create an account for someone without authority, sell or transfer your account, or use another person’s account without permission.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. If you choose to share a plan or authorize another person to access it, that person may be able to view or change the information made available through that access.

You retain ownership of information, files, plan data, assumptions, feedback, and other content you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to provide User Content and allow us to process it.

You grant Alpha Retire and its service providers a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, adapt for technical purposes, and otherwise use User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to us.

You are responsible for maintaining any independent copies of User Content you need. We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information for lawful purposes when it does not reasonably identify you.

The Service may link to or interoperate with third-party products, data providers, financial institutions, account-connection providers, or websites. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control or endorse them.

If you direct us or a provider to retrieve information from a third party, you authorize the access and processing needed to fulfill your request and represent that you have the right to do so. Third-party data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Alpha Retire is not an official record of any financial institution, and you should verify important information against the original source.

You agree that you will not, and will not help anyone else to:

• use the Service in violation of law or another person’s rights;
• submit content that is fraudulent, deceptive, harmful, unlawful, or infringing;
• access another person’s account or data without authorization;
• probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security or access controls;
• introduce malware or place an unreasonable load on the Service;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or access the Service by automated means except through an interface we expressly provide for that purpose;
• copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or a substantial portion of its content;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover source code, models, algorithms, or non-public components, except where applicable law does not permit this restriction; or
• use the Service or its outputs to build or train a competing product or model.

A violation may result in suspension or termination of access.

The Service—including its software, design, models, calculations, text, graphics, branding, and other content, excluding User Content—is owned by Alpha Retire or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial retirement planning. No other rights are granted.

If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

During beta and other early-access periods, the Service may contain errors, incomplete features, experimental calculations, or interruptions. Features, models, data structures, limits, and availability may change without notice, and data may need to be reset or migrated as the product develops.

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. When practical, we will try to provide notice of a material change that adversely affects your use, but we do not promise that every feature or output will remain available.

Some or all of the Service may currently be offered without charge. We may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, usage limits, trials, or other charges in the future. We will disclose the price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation method, and any material restrictions before charging you.

Additional payment and subscription terms presented when you purchase a paid feature will become part of these Terms. We will not charge a payment method unless you affirmatively authorize the purchase.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Where account-deletion controls are available, you may use them or contact us for help. Our handling of information after termination is described in the Privacy Policy and may be subject to legal, security, backup, and technical retention requirements.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure, misuse the Service, or if continued operation is no longer practical. When reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export important data, but immediate action may be necessary for security, safety, legal, or operational reasons.

Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions on ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and amounts owed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content and outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that calculations, projections, reference data, third-party data, or other outputs are complete, current, accurate, or suitable for your circumstances. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpha Retire and its affiliates, service providers, licensors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, opportunities, or anticipated savings, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms, even if advised that such damages are possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Alpha Retire and those parties for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Alpha Retire for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some limits may not apply to you.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alpha Retire and its affiliates, service providers, licensors, officers, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Before filing a formal claim, you and Alpha Retire agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by giving the other party written notice and 30 days to respond. This requirement does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive or equitable relief.

Pre-launch legal detail: The governing law, exclusive venue, and any arbitration or class-action provisions will be specified after Alpha Retire’s operating entity and jurisdiction are finalized. Until then, applicable law determines the rights and forum available to each party.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Alpha Retire concerning the Service and supersede prior discussions on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms or transfer your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law. These Terms do not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or fiduciary relationship.
